Training includes the following skills and services:
- ESL
- Computer Literacy
- Office Technology
- Business Writing
- Verbal Communications
- Employability Skills
- Employment
This vocational training program covers GED preparation, ESL, computer classes, instruction in office technology, business communications, as well as employability skills. With the assistance of mentors, ASPIRE students will observe and may enroll in the following Outreach Programs:
An Individual Learning Plan will be created for each student including:
- Future courses each student may enroll in.
- Target dates for completion of each class and GED obtainment.
- Any other student identified goals.
- An anticipated date of entrance into a vocational training program of their choice.
- Outreach provides each student with a Case Manager and Job Skills Specialist to monitor progress and provide assistance as necessary.
This RIC Outreach Program is available to Rhode Island clients of Department of Human Services Family Independence Program (Cash Recipients) in need of education, training and employment. Contact us for additional options available.
