TRACS

Training Responsible Adults as Customer Service Specialists

• 12 weeks
• 15 hours per week

includes Internship and Job Search & Placement

 

Training includes the following skills and services:
  • Computer Skills: MS Office, spreadsheets, database management, powerpoint
  • Oral communication
  • Business writing
  • Internet life skills
  • Office machines: answering, fax, copy
  • Employability skills: applications, resumes, cover letters, job search and interviewing
  • Job development, placement, and support services to employee and employer
  • Internship
  • Job search assistance
Who is Eligible?
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Fluent in English
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Unemployed/dislocated, underemployed workers
  • Students motivated to learn new skills and accept a job

This innovative training program prepares students for entry level customer service positions with job titles such as customer service representative, client service representatives general office clerk, or call center representative. The course gives students who have no previous experience in customer service the foundation and functional skills necessary to succeed. The course is comprised of 15 distinct modules that build on one another to create an effective, articulate and detailoriented customer service specialist.

To ensure course graduates are highly qualified to enter the field of customer service, we offer extensive training in office technology, computer literacy, keyboarding, telephone techniques, oral communications, financial literacy and attitudinal and life coping skills. An 80-hour internship in a service-oriented office is included. Job Development, Placement, and Support Services are provided to both employee and employer. Students are monitored closely for attendance and punctuality.
