Outreach Programs at Rhode Island College offers unemployed and under-employed workers to replace their jobs for careers.

 

 

Work Related Curricula

We offer the following services for limited-English proficient adults, dislocated workers, and "hard to serve" populations:

  • Educational, multicultural, and attitudinal counseling
  • Assessment of basic and prior work skills
  • Life-coping skills - How to survive in America!
  • Preparation of resumes and cover letters
  • Completing an application
  • Interviewing techniques (videotaped mock interviews)
  • Job search skills
  • Job development and placement
